October 2019 Real Estate Market Report

The October 2019 Real Estate Market Report shows across the US, buyer demand is growing! They were out in full force this October, according to reports from ShowingTime, the app that coordinates the showing appointments for listings in many areas, including Indianapolis (MIBOR.)

In October, we saw current prices exceed the all-time highs of summer 2018. As well, this month posted the fifth highest monthly price ever and we have not seen a decline in the year over year prices in more than seven years, says Shelley Specchio, MIBOR CEO.

Buyer Demand High - Inventory Low

Buyer demand continues to outpace available inventory in Central Indiana. This results in a continued increase in the number of home sales and home prices for October.

The 16 counties included in the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS area have almost all had an uptick in measured metrics.
