Three Easy and Practical Ways to Update Your Kitchen!

We all know the importance of keeping our kitchen updated. But sometimes it can be difficult to find the right way to do that. If you’re looking for ways to update your kitchen without spending a lot of money, here are some ideas.

  1. Pine Cabinets

If you have pine cabinets, don’t despair! You can revive them with a few simple steps and end up with a kitchen that is every bit as beautiful as it was when it was first installed. As much as we love the old country look, pine furniture only dates a kitchen. You can transform your kitchen cabinets with simple steps of just sanding, priming, adding a slick of neutral paint over your kitchen cupboards, glazing and sealing. Updating your cabinets from pine to a neutral color will certainly increase the value of your home!

2.  Inspirations Wall Art

If you have words like “Love” or “Breathe” on your kitchen wall—or anywhere else in your home—it’s time to retire them. Inspirational quotes need to go, too. Instead, replace them with paintings or photographs that are timeless instead of trendy. They’re more captivating and more thought-provoking.

3. Mounted Pots and Pans

If you still have a pot rack hanging from the ceiling, it’s time to take it down. Organizing your pots and pans by hanging them from racks mounted on the ceiling was in fashion 20 years ago. Today, that looks dated and, chances are, your cookware is dusty. Instead store the pots in your cabinets and allow the space where you were hanging the cookware to either be open or display a thoughtful piece of art.

The kitchen is an area that can be customized in many ways. Whether it’s installing new cabinets or updating the artwork on the walls, you can make your kitchen look new again with some effort.
